From Mendoza, Argentina to the UK
Our winery is family-owned and was founded by Don Leandro Cabrini, an Italian immigrant, in 1918, in Mendoza, one of the most beautiful places on earth with the perfect terroir to make outstanding wines.
Cabrini Malbec
Our delicious Malbec is Cabrini's first wine to land in the UK, featuring a label originally created in the 1930s and brought back to life by the 5th Generation of the family.
Our Story
-
1918 | 1st Generation
Don Leandro Cabrini, an Italian immigrant, plants our first 6 hectares of Malbec vines in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, and builds our winery in 1920. Both are still the backbone of Cabrini Wines.
-
1939 | 2nd Generation
Luis & Guillermo, Don Leandro's sons, take over operations. As Guillermo was a Salesian priest, they decide to make the first vintage of mass wine.
-
1955 | 3rd Generation
Eliseo, Guillermo, Jorge & Juan continue with the family tradition and introduce new wines: Refosco, Lambrusco, Raboso, Pinot Noir, Semillón, Gran Solera & more.
-
1984 | 4th Generation
Mauricio, Hugo & Fernando, Eliseo's sons, take charge of our family winery and our wines reach new markets outside of Argentina for the first time.
-
2007 | 5th Generation
Victoria, Danilo & Leandro, 5th Generation of the family, start working at the winery. Victoria is currently our winemaker alongside Fernando.
-
Present Day
Danilo & Leandro emigrated to the UK and are currently spreading the love for Cabrini Wines around the world, alongside Leandro's wife, Camilla.
